Tim Lincecum became the second San Francisco Giant to pitch two no-hitters as the San Diego Padres were beaten 4-0 at AT&T Park on Wednesday night.

He joins Christy Mathewson in the Giants' history books, with the MLB great having achieved the same in 1905. Lincecum's previous no-hitter was also against the Padres, coming last year.

The Detroit Tigers made it six wins in a row as they beat the Texas Rangers 8-6 in Arlington.

Victor and J.D Martinez hit back-to-back home runs in the fifth inning to seal the win.

There was a fifth win in a row for the Los Angeles Angels as they got the better of the Minesotta Twins 6-2.

The New York Yankees ended their four-game losing run with a 5-3 win over the American League East leading Toronto Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre. Mark Teixeira's two-run shot in amongst a four-run third inning did the job.
