James DeGale v Carl Dilks10 Rounds Super-Middleweight
ADAM SAYS: In the first of the Seven, it's the first real test for the fast, flash Olympic Gold medallist from Beijing. Cool Londoner James DeGale's unbeaten in seven with five KO's and moves up in class to tackle former Commonwealth title challenger and Prizefighter semi-finalist Carl Dilks. If luck had been shining, the 26-year-old Liverpudlian would still be undefeated too. Dilks is strong tough and decent but DeGale is a little bit special. I fancy his reflexes and speed to win the battle - but he might have to go into the middle, even later rounds for victory.
Matthew Hall v Lucas KonecnyVacant European Light-Middleweight title
ADAM SAYS: A marvellous opportunity for Manchester's all-action Matthew Hall to lift the European Light-Middleweight title - and this could be a real tear-up against the come-forward Lukas Konecny from the Czech Republic. A meaty slug-fest might be on the cards - and that's something Hall will relish. It's come at short notice, but if Hall has the Anthony Small defeat out of his system - he could come through. That said, Konecny has never been stopped, and pushed the excellent Sergiy Dzinziruk to a split points decision. 50-50 this one. Home advantage, youth and fire may just be enough to see Hall prevail.
Nathan Cleverly v Karo MuratWBO Interim Cruiserweight title
ADAM SAYS: Battle of the unbeatens - and a really interesting fight. Nathan Cleverly has the intelligence, maturity and fighting style to become a good world champion and an excellent role model. I have been really impressed with the all-round make-up of this super 23-year-old. He is class personified. Cleverly's unbeaten in 19 and has answered everything asked of him up to European level. I think he'll have too much speed and ability for Germany's Karo Murat who, while an undefeated former European champion, has been relatively well-matched. Still Murat's dangerous, hasn't lost in 22 fights - so obviously has a chance. I take Cleverly to triumph and make it seven KO's on the spin.
Kell Brook v Michael JenningsWBO Welterweight Eliminator
ADAM SAYS: This is a classic crossroads meeting between the bright young starlet Kell Brook and the seasoned, solid stalwart Michael Jennings. Boxing is so much about levels and timing. At his best, Jennings wasn't far off Brook's level, but he might not quite be the same after that gallant loss to Miguel Cotto. Jennings is also nine years' Brook's senior, at 33. This seems to be the perfect time for the Sheffield 24-year-old too. Brook has the momentum and can explode into the world picture with a dazzling stoppage win. I think people will leave Birmingham talking about Kell Brook more than anyone else.
Derek Chisora v Sam SextonBritish & Commonwealth title
ADAM SAYS: This heavyweight re-match is the most intriguing clash on the bumper Birmingham bill. Derek Chisora stopped Sam Sexton with just 26 seconds left of their six-rounder back in June 2008, so will be quietly fancied to repeat the feat - particularly as this is a 12-rounder, and Sexton's stamina has looked suspect. The Norwich fighter is slightly younger, slightly taller and has boxed a higher calibre of opponent; those back-to-back victories out in Belfast against Martin Rogan were excellent. Yet Chisora has the buzz about him and I expect him to find a way to make it 14 straight wins. Wouldn't bet my house on it though!
Enzo Maccarinelli v Alexander FrenkelEuropean Cruiserweight title
ADAM SAYS: The comeback continues for one of the most likeable and hardest hitting of British fighters. Enzo Maccarinelli once ruled the Cruiserweight world but suffered defeat to David Haye, and then traumatic back-to back losses against Ola Afolabi and Denis Lebedev. I thought 'Big Macc' would retire, but he came back to capture the European title away from home with a first-round demolition of Alexander Kotlobay. Now for Alexander Frenkel. The German's unbeaten in 22 with 17 knockouts, but Maccarinelli can blow anyone away early - especially with body shots. But if Frenkel's still there at the half-way point it will become very interesting. I lean towards the Welshman to power his way home, but an upset's not totally out of the question!
Matthew Macklin v Shalva JomardashviliVacant Eurpopean Middleweight title
ADAM SAYS: I like Matthew Macklin. He's bright, bubbly and exciting. For a long time a rolling stone, Macklin now seems to have got himself together - training out in Hollywood with Freddie Roach - and has his sights set on world honours. Yes, the proposed mega-match with Darren Barker is off, which was a shame for the fans and for the fighters alike, but I'm sure Macklin will pick up the pieces and take it out on tough Georgian Shalva Jomardashvili. Macklin to shine in front of his home crowd - and cap a busy, entertaining and rather unique boxing spectacle.
