Felix Cash has warned middleweight rivals that his knockout power is only just developing as he seeks another explosive win on Friday’s NXTGEN show.

The 23-year-old is earning a reputation as a dangerous puncher after back-to-back first round knockout victories and Cash can display his destructive fists when he faces Ian Byrne at York Hall, Bethnal Green, live on Sky Sports.

Since joining new trainer Tony Sims last year, the former Team GB fighter has been working tirelessly on technique, and believes his most powerful punches are yet to come.

I'm just going to keep training, working on it, and hopefully it will get stronger and get better.

"In the amateurs you have only got three rounds, so it's obviously a lot higher pace, but you've got more time in the pros," Cash told Sky Sports.

"I'm sitting down on my punches a lot more and picking my shots a lot better. We're working in the gym. I'm just going to keep training, working on it, and hopefully it will get stronger and get better."

Those two swift knockouts wins came after Cash made the switch to the thriving Sims gym and he is reaping the benefits of training alongside the likes of John Ryder and Ted Cheeseman.

"I linked up with Tony Sims two fights ago," said Cash. "I feel much better, settled in there, and I'm boxing a lot smarter now.

"You are sparring with top fighters and we're all pushing each other on the hill sprints, in the gym, everyone is pushing each other. It's a good atmosphere to be around. Obviously I've got great sparring too. It's only going to bring me on."

Cash features on the same bill as brother-in-law Jake Ball, who returns to the ring following a shock stoppage defeat to JJ McDonagh last November.

"He's in a good frame of mind," said Cash. "He's just going through a learning curve and will try to push on from it, try to forget about it. He can put it down as a bad mistake and learn from it."
