Chris Eubank Jr says he could not miss the opportunity to train at Floyd Mayweather's gym for his opening fight in the World Boxing Super Series.

The 27-year-old has travelled to Las Vegas to start preparations at the same training base as Mayweather, who is coming out of retirement to face UFC star Conor McGregor on August 26, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

Eubank Jr, who is working towards his quarter-final fight with Avni Yildirim, hopes to be ringside to watch Mayweather's 50th bout against McGregor at The T-Mobile Arena.

"I have trained with Floyd and the Money Team on and off for years now," said Eubank Jr.

"It is Floyd's last ever training camp and I didn't want to miss the opportunity to be a part of that, so I booked my flight and I'll be at the Mayweather Boxing Gym until the beginning of September.

"I will be ringside for the big fight against McGregor. I haven't been this intrigued to watch a fight in years. Nobody really knows what's going to happen and that's what I think makes it so appealing."

Eubank Jr comes into the super-middleweight tournament after a career-best points win over Arthur Abraham in July.

"It was straight back to the gym after the Abraham fight. No rest for the wicked," said Eubank Jr.
