George Foreman says Anthony Joshua is 'spectacular for the future' of boxing

George Foreman says Anthony Joshua reminds him of great heavyweight champions of the past and believes the Brit is “spectacular for the future” of boxing.

The former two-time world heavyweight champion - who also won Olympic gold in 1968 - says 'AJ' reminded him of great fighters of his era when he stopped Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley Stadium in April.
"Anthony Joshua is something from the past," Foreman said to Obviously Fight Talk.
Anthony Joshua's good for the present and he's going to be spectacular for the future.
"What a heavyweight fight Anthony Joshua and Klitschko was. That Anthony Joshua is something from the past. You don't find that kind of fighter anymore.
"He's good for the present. And he's going to be spectacular for the future.
"Joshua, oh yes, he's a fighter. He's a good one."
Joshua's next fight will be against IBF mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev on October 28, at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, live on Sky Sports box office.
Should the 27-year-old come through this test, promoter Eddie Hearn is hopeful that a resolution can be agreed with the WBA to fight Luis Ortiz - their No 1 contender, before embarking on a potential blockbuster against WBC champion Deontay Wilder.
And 'Big George' - who was involved in some of the all-time great contests against Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali in an illustrious 81-fight career - thinks a bout between Joshua and Wilder has the potential to capture the attention of a global audience.
"Wilder is good," Foreman said.
"And once these two guys fight and meet in the middle of the ring, the world will come knocking again as they did for Conor McGregor [against Floyd Mayweather].
