Jorge Linares defended his world lightweight title with little fuss as he stopped Ivan Cano inside four rounds.

The WBC champion was defending a world title at home in Venezuela for the first time, and Kevin Mitchell's most recent conqueror put on a show for his compatriots.

Mexican Cano came out gamely but was no match for Linares, who got through with a couple of body shots in the third to send the challenger to his knee.

A repeat dose ended the fight in the fourth as the three-weight world champ comfortably negotiated the second defence of his belt.
