Talks with Scott Quigg are at the "best stage" they've ever been at, said Carl Frampton's representative Barry McGuigan.
The dynamic super-bantamweights could finally fight each other in the coming months, with Quigg most recently telling Sky Sports that negotiations had almost produced the desired result.
McGuigan, speaking at a Belfast press conference, has now confessed that talks with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom - who represent Quigg - have never been better.

"I'm not going to set a date, but it's been ongoing for a very long time now," said McGuigan. "But what I will say is that we are probably at the best stage it has ever been."
The location of a potential fight between Northern Ireland's Frampton and Lancashire-based Quigg has been one source of difficulty at the negotiating table.
McGuigan has denied that Frampton, who has frequently fought in his nation's capital, has outgrown Belfast's Odyssey Arena.
But he has ruled out that venue if Frampton and Quigg do eventually fight, because it can't satisfy the demand for such an anticipated occasion.
"I don't think [Frampton] is too big," McGuigan added. "We have all got to remember that Belfast has some incredible outdoor arenas, such as Windsor Park and Ravenhill.
"These are fantastic venues, but we would kind of have to tilt it to summer shows.
"That's not to say that we can't take him to the Odyssey, but we can't expect the calibre of a Scott Quigg to fight in that arena.
"It just doesn't make financial sense, but let's not discount it, the Odyssey has been 'The Jackal's Den', if you like, and I'm sure we'll box there in the future, just for the right fight."
