Ringside rewinds to Ricky Hatton's clash with Luis Collazo

This week marks a decade since Ricky Hatton fought Luis Collazo, so Ringside Rewind takes you back to that special night.

The popular Mancunian had already won world titles as a super-lightweight - adding the WBA Super crown to his IBF strap by stopping Carlos Maussa in nine rounds in November 2005.

With bigger names and therefore bigger fights on offer up at welterweight, Hatton stepped up to 147lbs and immediately booked a world title shot at Collazo, who had won the belt from Jose Antonio Rivera.

The New Yorker had suffered just one defeat in his career ahead of meeting Hatton and would enjoy the majority of the support at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston.

Could 'Hitman' give his band of fans more reason to cheer the house down? Or would he be exposed up a division and sent back to contest super-lightweight honours?
