Tony Bellew says he'll fulfill a lifelong ambition to fight at Goodison Park when he takes on Ilunga Makabu for the WBA Super-Lightweight title on Saturday

Tony Bellew says he will be literally living his dream when he gets the chance to box at Goodison Park at the end of this month.

The 33-year-old is a lifelong Everton fan and will walk out at the club's historic home ground in front of a packed house when he takes on Ilunga Makabu for the WBC cruiserweight title on May 29, live on Sky Sports.

The duo were at Goodison for a pre-fight publicity event on Tuesday and Bellew is excited about the prospect of returning in a couple of weeks for the fight.

"It's the first ever boxing event at Goodison Park and I guess I am part of the history books now," he said. "It is something else, it is what dreams are made of.

"As a young kid sitting up there [in the stands], I always dreamed of playing for Everton Football Club.

"That was always the dream and I am realising and achieving the dream now in a different kind of capacity, and that's the boxing field.

"That's what I was talented with, I was not as talented at kicking a ball as I am at punching people in the face!
