Hosea Burton will make the first defence of his British light-heavyweight title on the undercard of Anthony Crolla's fight in Manchester in September.
Burton will face Frank Buglioni after promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed he had won the purse bids to stage the fight.
Hearn then confirmed it will take place on the undercard of Crolla's WBA world lightweight title fight against Jorge Linares.
Burton defeated Miles Shinkwin for the vacant belt in February and has won two non-title fights since then.
He was due to make a title defence against Tony Dodson at Goodison Park in May but Dodson suffered a snapped Achilles tendon and withdrew.
Buglioni, 27, lost a WBA world title fight at super-middleweight to Fedor Chudinov at Wembley last September.
