Leeds United’s Sol Bamba is set to accompany hometown featherweight Josh Warrington to the ring on Saturday night.
The defender will become the latest of the city's footballers to hold Warrington's championship belts before he fights Patrick Hyland at Leeds' First Direct Arena, live on Sky Sports.
He has already had United favourites Vinnie Jones, Dominic Matteo and Gary Kelly escort him into the ring while rugby league star and former Rhinos captain Jamie Peacock has regularly carried in his belt.
The 'Leeds Warrior' has had the likes of Gary McAllister, Billy Sharp, Stephen Warnock and club owner Massimo Cellino in the crowd for his recent fights, with last season's captain Samba leading him in on Saturday night.
"I was worried they'd be away in pre-season but it's brilliant getting big Sol walking me in," Warrington exclusively told Sky Sports.
"Another plus point is big Sol is a leader, so who better to lead me into battle on Saturday night?"
Responding to David Allen's main-event jibes, Warrington joked: "With [Bamba] in the ring with me, there's no way I'll be on the Dillian Whyte-Dave Allen undercard!"
Bamba, the Ivory Coast centre-back who captained Leeds to a 13th-place finish in last season's Championship, is expected to carry Warrington's WBC International belt.
Watch Josh Warrington v Patrick Hyland from Leeds' First Direct Arena on Saturday night, live on Sky Sports 1, from 8.30pm.
