Anthony Crolla says he hopes to use the Manchester crowd to his advantage when he fights Jorge Linares for the WBA lightweight title on Saturday evening

Anthony Crolla has vowed to 'feed off' his hometown fans after making weight for his rematch with Jorge Linares.

The Mancunian can regain the WBA lightweight title in his second fight with Linares this Saturday at the Manchester Arena, live on Sky Sports.

Crolla tipped the scales at 9st 8lbs 8oz, with Linares also weighing in under the lightweight limit at 9st 8lbs 4oz, and the two fighters briefly embraced in a show of mutual respect.

Crolla and Linares have both weighed-in ahead of their WBA lightweight title fight in Manchester on Saturday evening

But the British fighter is determined to avenge his points loss last September and believes his vociferous support could roar him towards victory.

"I'm going to feed off this energy, feed off the crowd tomorrow night," Crolla told Sky Sports News HQ. "If I let it get to me emotions and start playing on that against a sharp counter puncher like Linares, it's a dangerous thing to do.

Brian Rose and Jack Arnfield had to be hauled apart as tempers boiled over between the Blackpool rivals ahead of their clash on the undercard.

A packed bill includes a third fight between British champion Martin J Ward and Maxi Hughes, with both men making the super-featherweight title limit.

Exciting prospect Marcus Morrison and Jason Welborn were also under the middleweight mark, while Katie Taylor and Milena Koleva weighed in for their lightweight bout.
