Burns vs Indongo: Josh Kelly keen to make big statement on professional debut

Josh Kelly admits he wants to announce himself on the professional scene in style on Saturday night.
The Rio 2016 star will make his debut against Jay Byrne in the SSE Hydro in Glasgow on Saturday night, live on Sky Sports.
Kelly is now in trainer Adam Booth's stable and has been added to the huge Anthony Joshua vs Wladimir Klitschko undercard at Wembley Stadium on April 29.
Saturday's debut puts the 23-year-old in with Byrne over six rounds on the Ricky Burns vs Julius Indongo unification undercard and he is itching to make an impact.
"I can't wait to get in there on Saturday," he told the Sunderland Echo.
"Everything has been sweet in training, I'm absolutely flying. I've been sparring world champions and all sorts.
"Now, I just want to get in and do the business."
Kelly's former Team GB team-mate Lawrence Okolie is also on the card after starting his professional career with a stunning 20-second knockout success, with Joe Cordina making his bow in Liverpool next weekend.
But while many start with a four-rounder and Byrne has only lost once - taking Felix Cash the distance in their recent NXGEN fight - the former Houghon ABC man, wants a tough opener.
"I'm happy I'm not in with a journeyman," he said.
"They turn up, cover up and survive and go and do it again the next week. Byrne will come and have a go and that's what I want."
Watch Josh Kelly vs Jay Byrne on the Burns-Indongo undercard, from the SSE Hydro, Glasgow, on Saturday night, live on Sky Sports 2 from 7.30pm.
