Katie Taylor says she wants to be in the biggest fights as she prepares to unify the lightweight division in New York on Saturday night, live on Sky Sports.
Taylor faces IBF champion Victoria Noelia Bustos on a card featuring Daniel Jacobs against Maciej Sulecki and the heavyweight contest between Jarrell 'Big Baby' Miller and Johann Duhaupas.
The 31-year-old's reputation is growing as the hottest talent in women's boxing and her all-action style should guarantee entertainment.
She became a world champion in just her seventh professional fight at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff before successfully defending it less than two months later in London.
"There are so many big names in my division. I think it is so important for women's boxing that those fights happen, Taylor said.
"I want to be involved in the biggest fights possible. Fights that are going to excel the sport as well."
Taylor is enjoying her American adventure and that it has helped her rediscover her passion for boxing. The Irish fighter moved to Connecticut to train after turning pro and will fight in the States for the second time in a year this weekend.
She added: "It's probably in the middle of nowhere here. There's not a lot to do except train but I love that and I love the environment here. I love the atmosphere in this gym.
"We have some quality spars here in the gym. There's some quality fighters who I have the privilege of being around, there are top-seasoned pro fighters and I learn from them all the time."
You can see Katie Taylor's unification fight with Victoria Noelia Bustos live on Sky Sports Action this Saturday night from 2am.
