Arthur victim handed second chance

Stephen Foster Jnr has been confirmed as Nicky Cook's first challenger for his WBO super-featherweight title at the Excel Arena on December 6. It will be Foster's second title fight in the space of 12 months after the Salford slugger lost a narrow points verdict to Alex Arthur last December. Cook wrestled the belt from Arthur's grasp earlier this year and with Foster proving his well-being with a dominant six-round win on Friday night, the pair are now on a collision course. "It's fantastic to be fighting for the world title again and this time I won't let the opportunity pass me," said Foster. "It won't be a case of third time lucky, this time I'm going to win it. "I came so close to beating Arthur last year and I'm still kicking myself about it now. If only I had followed up when I hurt him in the 11th round with some more big punches then I could have been crowned champion. "Anyway, that was a year ago and I've moved on, learnt, and improved and I'm ready to give Cook a real fight for his title. "He had better be prepared for a long hard fight because the title is coming back with me."
