Arum confident deal will be done for Pacquiao's next fight

It looks increasingly likely that Manny Pacquiao will take on Antonio Margarito for the WBC light-middleweight title in his next fight on November 13. Pacquiao had been holding out for a clash with Floyd Mayweather Jnr but the American does not appear interested in making the fight, at least until next year. Promoter Bob Arum considered a re-match with Miguel Cotto for the 'Pac Man', but the controversial Margarito is now the hot favourite to step up as Pacquiao bids to become a seven-weight champion. Margarito, himself a former three-time welterweight belt holder, is currently under suspension in the United States after being found to have 'loaded' gloves prior to a stoppage loss to Shane Mosley 18 months ago. The 32-year-old Mexican has since made a comeback in his native country and while Arum is happy for Pacquiao to take the fight south of the border, he may yet persuade Nevada state officials to lift the ban and allow it to take place in Las Vegas. "Making a deal won't be a problem," said Arum, who promotes both Pacquiao and Margarito. "We'll get it done."
