Title fight to be shown early on Sky Sports

Jason Booth's world title fight with IBF super-bantamweight champion Steve Molitor will give the Nottingham boxer maximum exposure on Sky Sports. Booth's first title shot will be screened between 8pm and 10pm on September 11 as Sky begins its new Saturday season from the Rainton Meadows Arena. "The time of the fight means Jason will get huge mainstream exposure and undoubtedly the biggest TV audience of his career," said promoter Frank Maloney. "I would imagine he would be in the ring at 9pm so it also means maximum exposure in Sunday morning newspapers. "After the demons Jason has had to conquer, I cannot think of a fighter who deserves glory as much as Jason." Meanwhile British featherweight champion Martin Lindsay has been added to the card in an eight round contest. "Martin is closing in on a European title shot and I am certain that sometime next year he will be challenging for a world title in his hometown," added Maloney. "Martin brings excitement to the ring and the more exposure he gets the more popular he will become." In the chief supporting contest, Londoner Matthew Marsh will meet undefeated Scot Kris Hughes for the vacant Commonwealth super-bantamweight crown.
