Scouser out to set the record straight - and scoop £32,000!
Tony Dodson says he will be the latest fighter to use Prizefighter to re-launch his career.
The former British super-middleweight champion is the biggest name in the eight-man line-up as the Light-Heavyweights take centre stage at London's Olympia on January 29, live on
Sky Sports HD and in 3D!
Scouser Dodson heads into the £32,000-winner-takes-all tournament on the back of two devastating defeats to Liverpool rivals.
In March 2009 he was stopped in the final round by then-British champion Tony Quigley and then failed to recapture the belt again when Paul Smith out-pointed him in a bloody battle a year later.
Having seen the likes of Audley Harrison, Gavin Reid and Willie Casey kickstart their careers by winning Prizefighter, Dodson believes he still has a point to prove.
"I should have beaten Quigley, I dominated that fight and it wasn't even close on points, even with the knockdown," he said.
"With the Smith fight, I took a negative approach to it and I didn't do enough work. At the end of the 12th I stood there and thought, 'I should've put my foot down there.'
"I don't want to take anything away from either Tony or Paul though, they both beat me and I'm friends with the pair of them.
"But I said it when they started coming through and I'll say it again - I'll still be here when they are gone and I'm ready for another shot."
Dodson, 30, is battling with Travis Dickinson, whose brother Jon-Lewis won the Cruiserweights II tournament in April last year, for early favouritism with the bookies.
