British super-bantamweight boss Jason Booth will challenge Commonwealth king Jamie Arthur in a double-title showdown.
Two titles on the line as 2Smooth returns
Jason Booth will return to action in a mouthwatering double title match-up with Jamie Arthur.
The Nottingham super-bantamweight's last fight ended in bitter disappointment in September, when he lost his world-title challenge to IBF boss Steve Molitor on points.
But he will be back on February 5 when he takes on Commonwealth king Arthur in a fight that will also see Booth put his British belt on the line in Brentwood.
The pair have stepped in to save Frank Maloney's show following the news that a back injury has forced Sam Webb to withdraw from his British light-middleweight title defence against Bradley Pryce - himself a replacement for Prince Arron.
Booth-Arthur will now top the bill, which will be shown live on
Sky Sports HD.
"Fighters like Jamie and Jason are true professionals and are always in the gym waiting for the phone to ring," said promoter Frank Maloney.
"I contacted so many fighters seeing who was available when Sam pulled out, but you either get told they aren't in a gym or come across trainers who break out in a cold sweat when you mention a tough fight.
"Jason is never in a bad fight and this is a chance to win back his old title and have one more crack at the big time."
Arthur became Commonwealth champion with a points win over Kris Hughes three months ago and the super-fit Welshman has now been handed a second crack at a British title.
The Cwmbran man came up short when he dropped a decision against Martin Lindsay at featherweight last year, but he has impressed since moving down a division.
