Prizefighter champion is now British champion
Prince Arron won the British light-middleweight title with a 12th-round stoppage of champion Sam Webb in Gillingham.
Webb was making the second defence of his Lonsdale belt but was comprehensively beaten by the impressive man from Manchester.
The rangy 23-year-old challenger - who made his name with victory in the Prizefighter tournament - was on top almost from the opening bell.
Isle of Dogs fighter Webb, 30, struggled to cope with Arron's reach and accuracy and expended far too much energy in the early rounds.
That was to prove costly as the fight wore on, not least because the arena was bakingly hot.
Arron was all over Webb in the fifth round, a big right hook knocking down the champion and a barrage of blows forcing him onto the ropes.
The fight could have been stopped at that point, but the referee did not step in and to be fair Webb finished the round throwing punches.
Courage
Webb showed tremedous courage to keep going but was again on the canvas after a right hand landed in the ninth, although no knockdown was called.
By this stage Arron was in complete control and Webb was looking too brave for his own good.
The end arrived just over a minute fron the final bell as a left upper-cut knocked Webb down again and with Arron landing punches at will, the referee waved him away.
On the undercard, heavyweight Tom Dallas claimed a lacklustre points win over Zack Page.
Dallas struggled to pin down the wily veteran, but his workrate earned him a 78-76 verdict in the eight-rounder.
