Haye is not so brave now, booms Wladimir

Wladimir Klitschko believes David Haye is already regretting winding him up. The Ukrainian says people are already questioning whether his opponent will even show for their heavyweight unification showdown in Hamburg on July 2nd, live on Sky Box Office HD and Sky 3D. Klitschko believes Haye will be there, but he also believes that he is having second thoughts after waging a verbal war against him and his brother for the past two years. It started with an ambush on a shopping centre escalator and has included several low blows, not least the famous t-shirt that depicts the Londoner standing over the decapitated torsos of Wladimir and brother Vitali, their heads in each hand. Klitschko admitted he found the image distasteful and disrespectful but with fight night little over three weeks away, he says it has all gone quiet in the Haye camp. And that he says, means fear is starting to creep in. "He said he has no regrets about what he did and if he has no regrets, where's the t-shirt?" he told Sky Sports News HD. "He is supposed to represent himself with this t-shirt and I believe deep down David Haye has regrets about that and he doesn't feel comfortable. "Even if he says 'yes, I have no regrets and I'm going to do it one more time' ... do it then! "I want to see you with that t-shirt on at the press conference.

Arrogance

"I just think a little bit of success in his past fights have twisted his mind a little bit, so he's got this arrogance and confidence. "But deep down I think he's a good man and I think I am going to have twist it the other way round so he comes back down on his feet and reacts and acts like a normal man - and not like someone else." Haye will get his chance to fire back at his own media day next week, but for now Klitschko is ahead on points. His charm offensive has been laced with subtle digs and plenty of sarcasm and he even took it one step further by suggesting there is a feeling inthe media that the Brit will fail to show up at the Imtech Arena - including those that had made the trip from the United Kingdom. "We had a press day today with German, Russian and British journalists and the question was that I've never had before: will David Haye turn up for the fight?" he said. "A lot of people asked that question, a lot of people had doubts - and Emmanuel said the same thing. I've been in tons of championship and never talked about opponents showing up at the fight. "I believe David Haye will show up because too much has been made of it over the last two years. The talk has been talked, now let's walk the walk."
