Prizefighter champion Mike Perez will feature on the undercard of Lee Purdy's British welterweight title defence against Colin Lynes on Wednesday. The Cork-based Cuban will take on American journeyman Zack Page over eight rounds as he looks keep his career moving. It will be a first outing for the 26-year-old since he won the inaugural International heavyweights prizefighter event six months ago. The durable Page, who went eight rounds with Tyson Fury last year, is one of only four men to take Perez to the scorecards in the Cuban's 16-0 career - the pair having previously met in 2009. The fight was hastily arranged after English flyweight champion Ashley Sexton withdrew due to weight issues ahead of his defence against Luke Wilton. Purdy will claim the Lonsdale belt outright if he defeats veteran Lynes in what is being billed as the 'Battle of Essex'. Both were comfortably inside the 10st 7lb limit at the weigh-in.
