Amir Khan weighed in at nine stone 13lbs ahead of his 'Capital Showdown' with Lamont Peterson in Washington on Saturday night.
The WBA and IBF light-welterweight champion, cheered on by the raucous 'Khan Army', smiled to the crowd as he stepped on the scales at the Carnegie Library building.
He had every reason to be cheerful too, as he was confirmed at one pound under the limit. Challenger Peterson then came in right on the 10st mark.
"I feel good," Khan told
Sky Sports NewsHD. "I feel strong, I feel lean.
"From now it gets serious. I need to be focused on my gameplan - I can't make any more mistakes now. I need to be very professional with what I drink and what I eat, because it might be a long night."
Peterson has lost just once in his professional career and has drawn against Victor Ortiz. The American also has home advantage on his side, having been born and raised in Washington.
Fireworks
However, red-hot favourite Khan insisted that he would not be taking his opponent lightly, promising to "put on some fireworks" for the crowd at the Convention Center, as well as those watching live on television.
"Everyone has me as the favourite to win this fight, but it's going to be a tough match," the Bolton boxer added.
"Lamont is in his home town and he's going to be up for this fight. He knows there are two world titles on the line.
"I'm not looking too far ahead - I'm looking at this fight first, then we go on to future fights.
"It's not just about winning in this fight, it's about winning in good style. I'm going to win in good style - I'm going to make some new fans in DC and put on some fireworks."
