New champion believes people wan't be impressed by victory
Prizefighter International Heavyweights champion Tor Hamer remains unconvinced that his win over Kevin Johnson will be the stepping stone to bigger things.
Hamer impressed throughout as he toppled fellow American Johnson on points in the final, with the New Yorker having earlier seen off the dangerous Marcelo Luiz Nascimento and British hope Tom Dallas.
But despite registering a victory over the former world champion challenger - the 32-year-old 'Kingpin' lost to Vitali Klitschko - Hamer doesn't believe the boxing world will be impressed.
And Hamer, who extends his record to 18-1, claims that the three-round format of Prizefighter suited him.
"He is a great fighter, he is smart," Hamer told
Sky Sports. "He is 28-2 now and those two doesn't mean anything on his career.
"He lost a three-round fight to a prospect who outscored him. I never hurt him, he wasn't scared of me... none of that. The fact is that I won because of the format of the Prizefighter.

"Anyone who knows boxing is not going to be impressed. The good thing is that because I beat him a lot more of (promoter) Eddie's (Hearn) guys want to try and beat me up as I'm small."
Despite collecting £32,000 for his success at the York Hall, Hamer looked distinctly unimpressed after the final.
And the 29-year-old believes that had his fight against Johnson gone on longer than the scheduled three rounds then the result could have been different
"I could have done better. I missed a lot," he said.
"The only fight I felt confident was against Tom Dallas as I had an excellent strategy going in.
"Against 'Kingpin', he is so experienced that there is nothing you can do against that guy. You can't outwork him, you can't out jab him.
"All you can do is keep him turning and not let him set. That is what I tried to do but towards the end of the fight it had taken a lot out of me.
"If it had been a longer fight, it could have gone a completely different way. He wasn't expending any energy and was comfortable there as you saw."
