Ricky Burns will make the next defence of his WBO lightweight title against Cromer southpaw Liam Walsh on December 15.
That's assuming Broner gets past Antonio DeMarco when the pair clash next month for the vacant WBC strap. "The big motivator is a showdown with Broner, who I was accused of avoiding last year," he added. "Since moving up to lightweight and winning the world title my stock and profile has increased and now that it's a unification fight it's a much bigger fight than before." The Walsh fight takes place at London's ExCel Arena, when George Groves takes on veteran Glen Johnson on the undercard.
