Deontay Wilder says his showdown with Tyson Fury WILL happen next year.

The unbeaten knock-out specialist admits that the heavyweight rivals will get it on next year.

Live Fight Night

Wilder takes on former Prizefighter contender Jason Gavern on the undercard to Kell Brook's attempt to be crowned world champion by beating Shawn Porter in Carson, California, live on Sky Sports 1 this Sunday morning.

The 31-0 American is ranked number one by the WBC and even though Fury's fight with Dereck Chisora is an eliminator for the WBO version, they are still on a collision course.

"In the back of your mind you already know who you want me to fight...Tyson Fury," he told Sky Sports.

"You know the way me and him have been dealing with all out on social media. I don't think we even need a promoter for this one.

"It's been going on for a couple of years, it's been me and him going back and forth, it's been comedy and me and him shooting our mouths off, so the publicity side of this is out there.

"All that needs to be done is name a date, a time and a location and it will happen, next year...September."

One of the first Tweets Fury sent out following the late postponement of his rematch with Chisora was to call out Wilder.

The confirmation of that re-arranged all-British clash has since be confirmed and will now take place in London on November 22.
