The 25-year-old Lancastrian makes the fourth defence of his belt and is keen to make a statement following Carl Frampton's accession to IBF champion last weekend, when the Belfast fighter won an impressive unanimous decision over Kiko Martinez.

Quigg said ahead of facing Belgium's Jamoye in Manchester: "Preparations are going very well. Training could'n't have gone any better. I feel like I've been improving in the gym since the last fight, working hard and practicing.

"The only bit of a hiccup was the change of opponent but it didn't effect me in any way. I've just got to focus on myself and make sure I'm 150% ready to do the job on Saturday night.

"I'd like to congratulate Carl Frampton on becoming world champion. I thought he beat Kiko Martinez more comfortably than in the first fight.

"The pressure, when you're at this level it's a potentially massive fight with me and Carl. It does bring pressure but I thrive on that and that's why I'll go out there on Saturday night and show why I believe I'm top dog.

"Once I've taken care of Jamoye, I'm ready for that Carl Frampton fight. 100%."
