Welterweight Cecelia Braekhus made history on Saturday night by becoming the first undisputed world champion in women’s boxing.

Braekhus outpointed Croatian Ivana Habazin in a 10-round contest in Copenhagen to add the IBF strap to the WBC, WBA and WBO belts she already held.

A one-sided encounter saw each of the three ringside judges score the bout 100-90 in favour of Colombian-born Norwegian fighter Braekhus.

The 32-year-old has held three major versions of the world title for more than four years and her win against Habazin extends her perfect professional record to 26 wins from 26 fights.
