Spencer Oliver, Glenn McCrory and Jamie Moore discuss whether or not Anthony Crolla can fight again.

Jamie Moore says boxing will get behind Anthony Crolla and do whatever he needs to get back to full fitness.

no doubt we'll all get together and whatever is needed and what help is needed or any financial help - we will all get together and make sure it happens

The Manchester lightweight is in hospital after being hit over the head with a concrete slab by one of the two burglars he was chasing after finding them in breaking into a neighbour's house.

Crolla is apparently sitting up in bed and chatting but whether or not he will be able to fight again remains to be seen.

Trainer Moore, who was shot in the leg out in Marbella earlier this year, would not be surprised if Million Dollar made a full recovery and knows that boxing will get right behind him.

"I don't think you'll come across anyone in the boxing circle or around Manchester that has got a bad word to say about him," Moore told Ringside.

"The boxing fraternity is known for doing it. We've seen it in the past when things have happened and no doubt we'll all get together and whatever is needed and what help is needed or any financial help - we will all get together and make sure it happens."

Crolla, whose ankle was also broken, was due to fight for the WBA world champion Richar Abril at the Manchester Arena on January 23.

Moore admits it will be a "rough road" to full fitness again but did not rule out the 28-year-old getting back into the ring.

"I'm hearing that the injury is quite bad but we haven't heard if he can carry on his career yet," he said.

"But first and foremost you've got to forget about the world title. The main thing is his health.

“I am sure he if can overcome this and get back to full health Eddie Hearn can manoeuvre him in to get another shot  but we've got to make sure he is fully fit first."
