Adonis Stevenson and Anthony Joshua are both live on Sky Sports on April 4

Adonis Stevenson is back live on Sky Sports!

The hard-hitting light-heavyweight star defends his WBC strap against the experienced Sakio Bika in Quebec, on a busy April 4 night which also has Anthony Joshua on live and a little closer to home.

Stevenson is on collision course with his rival Sergey Kovalev, with both dominating the division and capturing the Canada public.

Live Fight Night

Kovalev holds the WBA, IBF and WBO belts and was also live on Sky Sports two weeks ago as he beat Jean Pascal, another established star.

It now means it is Stevenson's turn, with his WBC belt on the line on April 4. The man called Superman burst onto the light-heavyweight scene a couple of years ago, taking care of Chad Dawson and Tavoris Cloud and of course ending Tony Bellew's world title chances at 175lbs.

Stevenson is in danger of being overshadowed by Kovalev though and knows he has to put on a show and secure the one fight that division one. Bika is rough and tough and has been a world champion at the weight beloew, so this will be no pushover.

"Unfortunately we had a little setback," he told Ringside.

"I had great momentum with 10 fights and 10 wins then the injury came along and I've spent a lot of time in rehab and now I've worked on a lot of my weaknesses.

"April 4 is where I pick up the momentum again. It will be brilliant to be back in the ring."

Newcastle's local hero, Bradley Saunders, may be out through injury but the likes of Stephen Simmons and Travis Dickinson are on a busy card that will bring boxing back home.
