Shawn Porter came in exactly on the 144lbs weight limit for his highly-anticipated showdown with Adrien Broner in Las Vegas.

There had been concerns that the former welterweight title holder would not be able to make the weight – but he was bang on at Friday’s weigh-in.

Broner – who had insisted on catchweight – was half a pound under.

Floyd Mayweather was on hand to officiate, and – as usual – Broner was doing all the talking during the pre-fight rituals.

Broner refused to shake hands with Porter after the face off, during which Broner was constantly in his opponent’s ear. Porter, who appeared to have the support of most of the crowd, just stood silently and took it.

Broner even slapped Mayweather’s hand away when the promoter tried to get him to shake hands with Porter.

"I made weight and I could have made weight last week," Porter said. "I laugh at the fact that I made it so easily and hadn't been 144 for so long."
