Manny Pacquiao could be the one who decides whether or not he faces Amir Khan.
Promoter Bob Arum has had a discussion with the British star about a possible showdown early next year and is now going to pass it on to the Filipino.
"This takes time and I will present everything to Manny and we'll see what happens," Arum told World Boxing Scene.
Arum, who has also been in discussions with Matchroom about a possible fight between Timothy Bradley and Kell Brook, admits finding Pacquiao a big-name to fight is a "priority".
The Top Rank supremo has already said a fight with Khan (31-3-KO19) can be made and Pacquiao (57-6-2-KO38) is "not ducking" him, so it could well come down to the fighter himself.
'Pac-Man' is expecting to be fight at the start of 2016, following the right rotator cuff injury he picked up in the loss to Floyd Mayweather and both Khan and Arum have said the fight could take place in Dubai, or somewhere else in the Middle East.
