Former world champion Glenn McCrory will make his theatrical debut in 'The Birds' this autumn.
The Sky Sports' pundit and one-time IBF world cruiserweight king will tread the boards as 'Nat' in Conor McPherson's play, which is directed by award-winning director Adam Morley.
A press release from the Leicester Square Theatre read: "This atmospheric post-apocalyptic chiller is set in a world where society has collapsed and the birds, for reasons unknown, attack humans at every given opportunity.
"Three strangers with dark pasts and many secrets, find themselves thrown together trying to survive this harsh new world... hiding in a boarded-up house where danger comes from the skies above and also from within."
The play, which also stars Emma Taylor and Alice Marshall as Diane and Julia respectively, is due to run from September 24 to October 17.
