Barnet fighter looks to complete the double

Darren Barker has a "great chance" to complete a Commonwealth double according to promoter Mick Hennessy. The Barnet fighter already has a Commonwealth Games gold medal in his collection, but he will look to add the vacant middleweight belt in the pro ranks when he takes on Australia's Ben Crampton on November 14, live on Sky Sports. Barker returned to the ring after a lengthy lay off with an impressive third-round stoppage of Greg Barton - and Hennessy has no doubt his charge can end the unbeaten run of Crampton. "This is a great chance for Darren to win his first major title as a professional after looking so good in his last fight," said Hennessy. "He is an incredible talent and this will be a continuation of things for him, fighting for the Commonwealth title after he won the Commonwealth gold medal for England." Also on the show at the York Hall in Bethnal Green, Lenny Daws and Nigel Wright will slug it out for the English light-welterweight title.
