Tyson Fury can worry Wladimir Klitschko into being too defensive, says Glenn McCrory

The outlandish antics of Tyson Fury may earn him an early initiative against Wladimir Klitschko, says Glenn McCrory.

When he's on form and keeps it all together, Tyson Fury is just brilliantly entertaining.

I wouldn't say he's got to Wladimir Klitschko in the sense of fear because Klitschko has been up against everybody in recent times but I don't think Klitschko understands him. Fury's got to him in the sense that Klitschko might think he's not wired up right.

I think Fury has upset Klitschko a bit. If you're ever in a troubled atmosphere and you've got an erratic guy who's acting very strangely, he's the one you fear the most. You just don't know what he's going to do so you'd give him a wide berth. Fury has managed to confuse and irritate Klitschko and even make him laugh.

Klitschko is probably going to be very wary of Fury and I think that's why Fury has a chance. Klitschko is naturally wary and very defensive anyway and I think he'll be even more than usual. That's good for Fury. Don't be surprised if we get an ultra-defensive Klitschko at the start of the fight.

Klitschko isn't the type that gets angry, it's not like him. If Fury manages to do that, it'll help him again. It's a dangerous fight for Klitschko in that sense. The best thing that can happen is Klitschko comes out and is even more defensive than usual. That, in turn, will give Fury the chance to get off to a good start and get some confidence. He has to scare him.

It's been a long time since Corrie Sanders and those guys but if Klitschko gets hit with a big shot, he's going to panic. That's what he does. When he's in trouble, he's not a great survivor. He's fallen apart before and he knows that - that's why we never see him in trouble.

I think that at the press conference and weigh-in, the full circus will come to town and I think that that's the best thing that can happen for Fury.

When do heavyweight challengers ever get dressed up as Batman and run around the press conference? It takes nerves and bottle because if he goes out there and makes a fool out of himself, everyone is going to have a laugh at him. It tells me that he's super-confident and really believes he can do it. Therefore we're in for an exciting fight.

I reject the notion that it makes a mockery of the sport. As long as he keeps it in good taste - and Klitschko deserves that - it's fine. Fury is just playing the fool so he's setting himself up for the joke to be on him. What you don't want to see is him trying to physically intimidate like Dereck Chisora. Klitschko deserves more than that.

Tyson Fury prepares for Wladimir Klitschko by headbutting a watermelon.

The circus stuff is great - it's part of what is going to make everybody want to watch this fight.

Fury knows exactly what he's doing. So does Klitschko. Klitschko speaks five languages, is a professor and all that plus a great athlete. He's confident but then all of a sudden, along comes Batman. This wild, ridiculously friendly guy. Fury does it all smiling - I've never seen any fear in Fury and I don't think there's any way Klitschko can get to him in that.

The only way Klitschko can get to Fury is with his fists. He can get to him by keeping a cool head, not panicking and keeping his boxing as precise as usual. If Fury gets to him and Klitschko becomes negative, giving the challenger a chance to get to him early, then I think we could have a massive upset.
