Joshua: Charles Martin gives credit to new IBF champion Anthony Joshua

Charles Martin admitted he could not cope with the speed of Anthony Joshua after losing his IBF title in a stoppage defeat to the British heavyweight
The American's unbeaten record was ruined within six minutes as Joshua floored him twice before referee Jean-Pierre Van Imschoot waved the fight off at The O2.
Martin claimed he could have continued, but gave an honest assessment of Joshua's swift title victory.
"He was the better man tonight," Martin told Sky Sports Box Office.
"I got hit with a right hand I didn't see and that cost the fight. I was okay but [the referee] came over at six. I got to my knee at seven, took a deep breath and then when I stood up..."
"He's a great fighter but it was just that his right hand was fast. I didn't see the shot. He had good speed. I'd take it right to him, don't give him any respect. That's the only thing I see."
Martin had failed to make a successful first defence of his belt, but the 29-year-old insisted he would return to title contention.
He said: "It was a loud atmosphere. It was cool. I liked it. I'm not disappointed or anything. He was the better man on this night. I'm going to get back in it. I'm not done. I'll keep on grinding."
