Lennox Lewis says Joe Calzaghe's chances of beating Bernard Hopkins depend on how he takes to fighting in the USA.
Former heavyweight champ worried about Calzaghe fight.
Lennox Lewis says Joe Calzaghe's chances of beating Bernard Hopkins could depend on how the Welshman takes to fighting abroad for the first time in his career.
Calzaghe may be unbeaten heading into his big showdown with Hopkins, but most of his fights have been on his home soil, while he has never fought outside of Europe.
Not only will an experienced veteran in 'The Executioner' be waiting for Calzaghe in Las Vegas in April 19, but also an appearance in an American ring for the first time.
Lewis fought many times in the United States as he became the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, and he says that the way Calzaghe handles the travelling could be the key to the fight.
The whole process of fighting so far away from home will be something totally new to Calzaghe, and Lewis says it could be a worry for him.
"It is an advantage for Hopkins and an issue for Calzaghe because he has never travelled for a fight," said Lewis.

"Now he actually has to travel, get readjusted, stay for quite a while in a brand-new environment. That has to have some kind of effect on you because you have never done it before.
"All of a sudden this is you, the whole world is focused on you. You are not at home any more, your fans are travelling.
"Some boxers can adjust and some boxers can't, we are going to have to see whether he can make the adjustment or not."
Lewis could not decide on who will emerge with the win in Vegas, but he says it has all the ingredients to be a spectacular fight.
"It is going to be a great fight because you have one undefeated fighter coming all the way from England and you have one cagey old fighter," added Lewis.
"You never know what to expect when he comes out, but you know that he has a lot of experience going behind him.
"As an American fighter Hopkins' popularity is greater than Calzaghe's, so this is a recipe that makes for a good fight."
