Golovkin vs Brook: Watch Gennady Golovkin work out in Covent Garden
Tuesday 6 September 2016 16:15, UK
Gennady Golovkin visited Covent Garden for a public workout as part of his build up for Saturday's fight against Kell Brook.
Golovkin was put through his paces by trainer Abel Sanchez in central London, where he treated a huge crowd to a display of his quick and powerful combination punching.
Kazakhstan's WBA Super, WBC and IBF world middleweight champion Golovkin (35-0-KO32) has already conquered Germany and the US and is set to take on IBF world welterweight champion Brook (36-0-KO25) at The O2 on Saturday.
It will be the first time the 34-year-old has fought in the United Kingdon, and the British fight fans turned out in great numbers to see him in training action on Tuesday afternoon.
And Golovkin is looking forward to putting on "an amazing show" at a packed O2 on Saturday night.
"I'm very excited to prepare for this show," he told Sky Sports News HQ. "It's going to be huge and I have to thank the people, thank everybody.
"Kell looks good, he looks strong. Middleweight is a new division for him but I think he's ready. I believe he is 100 per cent ready.
"I promise it will be a big dramatic show, an amazing show."
Watch Gennady Golovkin v Kell Brook, live on Sky Sports Box Office from The O2, on September 10. Book the event via your Sky remote or online here.
