LONDON, ENGLAND - APRIL 29: Anthony Joshua (White Shorts) and Wladimir Klitschko (Gray Shorts) in action during the IBF, WBA and IBO Heavyweight World Tit

Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko turned in a fight fitting of the venue as they thrilled a record crowd of 90,000 at Wembley.

Having knocked down his opponent in the fourth round, Joshua overcame a trip to the canvas in the sixth to stop his experienced rival in the 11th, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

However, it wasn't just the audience inside the national stadium who were gripped by the see-saw battle.

There are two full showings of the Wembley Stadium stunner, at 9am and 4pm on Sunday.

Sportsmen and celebrities alike used their personal accounts to post their thoughts in the aftermath, even though 140 characters couldn't provide enough room to do the epic bout justice.

Troy Deeney admitted Anthony Joshua did it the hard way.

Joshua couldn't resist the opportunity to post a video from within the very ring where he'd produced by far the best performance of his career.

To the victor, the spoils. Promoter Eddie Hearn popped up a backstage picture of Joshua posing with his three belts, having added the WBA 'super' and WBO titles to the IBF strap he already had in his possession.

Joshua asked the Wembley crowd if they wanted to see return to the famous venue in the future to fight Tyson Fury.

Of course, the other Englishman to defeat Klitschko didn't miss out on the opportunity to respond to the idea...

Still, if the Fury fight doesn't happen, England cricketer Stuart Broad offered an alternative suggestion for AJ's next foe.

International colleague Moeen Ali, however, may not be so keen on the idea - and it would certainly need to be a catchweight contest!

Klitschko's hopes of becoming a three-time world champion were terminated on the night, but Arnold Schwarzenegger was full of praise for the beaten Ukrainian. The movie star knows a thing or two about successful sequels, too.

But will Wlad be back? Arnie and the rest of us will have to wait to see what the future holds for the 41-year-old.

Former world champions Lennox Lewis and Frank Bruno once fought each other at Wales' national stadium in Cardiff.

However, they were both on the same side in heralding Britain's latest heavyweight star.

Sugar Ray Leonard knew a thing or two about timing punches sweetly during his fighting days, so it was no surprise to see the ring legend laud the way Joshua closed out the job in the penultimate round.

Is Joshua the Real Deal? Evander Holyfield - who sat next to Lewis at ringside - certainly believes so.

Of the current fighters, two-weight world champion Carl Frampton - along with his trainer, Shane McGuigan - took the chance to tweet their admiration for 'Dr Steelhammer'.

Dillian Whyte knows what it's like to go toe to toe with Joshua - and he clearly has designs on another shot at his rival.

Sky Sports' Jamie Carragher raised the subject of Klitschko's pre-fight prediction - and questioned whether the loser had the foresight to suggest it would be such an astonishing spectacle.

Plenty in the footballing world tuned into the main event, too.

Ian Poulter experienced sporting pressure when playing for Team Europe at the Ryder Cup. He was clearly impressed with the way Joshua coped in the spotlight to maintain his perfect record.

Fellow golfer Lee Westwood was fortunate enough to have a close-up view of the action at the national stadium.

England rugby union international Chris Robshaw knows a thing or two about rucks. Like Westwood, the flanker was lucky enough to be inside Wembley to witness the drama unfold.

But it seems only right to give the last word to the man himself, as Joshua graciously mentioned his beaten opponent. Rematch anyone?

There are two repeat showings of Joshua vs Klitschko at 9am & 4pm on Sunday. Book them online here or via your Sky remote.
