Joshua vs Molina: Conor Benn earns explosive first-round stoppage over Steven Backhouse

Conor Benn needed just a matter of seconds to earn an explosive stoppage win over Steven Backhouse at the Manchester Arena.
The son of legendary Nigel came out firing and had his opponent down with a heavy left hook early on in the first before the ref waved the fight off only moments later.
It was Benn's second successive fight in the city that his father famously fought to a draw with Chris Eubank over twenty years ago and he showed glimpses of the power for which his father was well renowned.
It was a routine victory for the 20-year-old, who although admitting he is still learning on the job, extended his perfect unbeaten record with his fourth career stoppage.
Benn moves to 6-0-KO4 and after going straight on the front foot, he quickly landed flush with a huge left hook. Backhouse did well to get up and beat the count, but the onslaught continued and Backhouse again fell to his knees before the ref had seen enough.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the fight, 'The Destroyer' said: "I'm happy with my performance, I only got to display one round and wanted to show more.
"I've had a lot of sparring, it's getting fed into me and I'm learning all the time. We've been working on that shot and I feel on point, there are plenty more knockouts to come."
Earlier on in the night, Marcus Morrison won on points and moved to 14-0-KO10 after cruising to a points win over Harry Matthews.
