WBC champion keen to build on his stunning win over Harris
WBC light-welterweight champion Junior Witter has insisted there is still more to come from the switch-hitter as he prepares to defend his crown against Timothy Bradley.
Witter produced the best performance of his career last time out when he knocked out former WBO titlist Vivian Harris in the seventh round.
However next up for the Bradford boxer is the unbeaten Bradley, who has stepped into the breach after Demetrius Hopkins pulled out of a scheduled showdown in March.
And Witter, who will share top of the bill with Carl Froch on May 10 in Nottingham, told the Hennessy Sports website: "I think the Harris fight was the best of my career and it has raised the expectations on me, but I will deal with that when I deal with Bradley.
"It was a brilliant stoppage of Harris, a former world champion, and it has given me a real boost. It showed that I am a big puncher after a few of my recent fights had gone to points.
Better
"But there's still a lot more to come from me and the harder the fights, the better I perform."
Witter is full of praise of Bradley, especially as the American stepping in after Hopkins pulled out.
He said: "I was shocked when Hopkins pulled out and it was very frustrating because I had been training for 12 weeks.
"But Bradley has shown a lot of bottle for taking this fight and I give him respect for stepping up to the plate.
"I expect him to come at me with everything he's got on the night."
