British heavyweight Joe Joyce says he has the gameplan to beat Lenroy Thomas and believes he is capable of going all the way to the top.

'The Juggernaut' will challenge Thomas for the Commonwealth title, on the undercard of David Haye's blockbuster rematch with Tony Bellew live on Sky Sports Box Office, on May 5.

Joyce, who is promoted by Haye, knocked out Donnie Palmer in just 38 seconds in March and will be fighting for only the fourth time as a professional at the O2 Arena.

The unbeaten Olympic silver medallist says he has not done anything differently in training camp ahead of his first title shot.

"Training camp has been just the same," Joyce exclusively told Sky Sports News.

"(I've been) in the gym every day. Six days a week, two sessions a day. Putting the last really big blast this week then I'll be peak and ready for May 5.

"I've been in the sport 10 years. I started when I was 22, I'm now 32 so I haven't had much mileage and I think I've got the attributes to go a long way in the sport."

Thomas, who retained his belt after a clash of heads with Dave Allen lead to their rematch being declared a technical draw, has said he is a "different animal" and will beat the highly-rated Brit.

However, Joyce believes his work behind the scenes with trainer Ismael Salas will see him win the fight.

Joyce added: "I've been the most decorated amateur boxer from GB, winning all five of the medals and now it's my time to step it up in the professional game and I'm going for my first title.

"Lenroy Thomas is a southpaw. He's fought Dave Allen twice and it was unfortunate for Dave Allen to get that cut in the fight.

"But I've come along and now it's my time to challenge Lenroy.

"I've got tactics I've been working (on) with Ismael Salas. David's on hand to give his advice too."
