Paulie Malignaggi fights Sam Eggington on the undercard to David Haye vs Tony Bellew. Sky Sports caught up with Malignaggi to ask about training in the sunshine with Haye...
I didn't notice any injuries but he left Miami three weeks ago, so I don't know if anything has happened since. He looked perfectly healthy to me, he was in good spirits.
He looked athletic as ever, explosive and healthy. Preparation in Miami is always good because of the weather.
I got away from the cold winters of New York and, by the time training camp is over, winter has almost finished! It's part of the reason I took this fight - by the time it's over, I'll miss winter!
For me, the weather helps with the weight loss because you sweat more. But it keeps you in better spirits to be in good weather every day. You look forward to waking up and motivating yourself.
Me and David are the same age, and I believe the weather helps. You need new ways to keep motivating yourself, and creative ways are part of the formula.
David's game-plan always revolves around speed and explosiveness, and catching you off-guard with a rhythm attack that includes explosive punching.
David can punch, and he knows he can punch. He looks to set tricky, creative angles so he can land those powerful shots.
He will use his athleticism to base himself off those angles, and try to catch Bellew off guard.
