Mayweather vs McGregor: Conor believes his power exceeds Floyd's old iconic rivals

Conor McGregor has insisted that he is the biggest puncher that Floyd Mayweather has faced.
The UFC champion makes his boxing debut in the early hours of Sunday and believes his power will cause Mayweather's first loss in 50 fights.

Asked about Mayweather's previous opponents, McGregor exclusively told Sky Sports: "Yes, I am the biggest puncher."
UFC president Dana White evidenced Mayweather's 2007 win over a 34-year-old Oscar De La Hoya to claim that the 49-0 superstar hasn't always met big-punching rivals during their pomp.
"When you talk about a puncher like De La Hoya - if you take De La Hoya aged 28, he hit like a truck," White exclusively told Sky Sports. "But Floyd didn't fight a 28-year-old De La Hoya.
"Conor has knockout power in both hands - but how hard does he hit compared to the other great fighters that Floyd has fought? We'll find out.

"I don't know if he's the biggest puncher [that Floyd] has ever fought. I won't know until McGregor starts banging with him.
"Even if Floyd has hand-picked these guys at the right time, he has still executed.
"Everybody thinks Conor doesn't hit hard, until Conor hits them.
"Conor just turned 29. He's in the prime of his career, and is in fantastic shape. He had a great weight cut and a great camp. No excuses."
Big-punching former opponents of Mayweather's include De La Hoya, Shane Mosley and Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez among others.
Mayweather weighed 149.5lbs compared to McGregor's 153lbs at Friday's weigh-ins. Sky Sports also reported that McGregor will make his boxing debut in 8oz Everlast gloves.
