Mayweather vs McGregor: Gervonta Davis misses weight; stripped of IBF belt

Gervonta Davis has been stripped of his world title after missing weight for his defence against Francisco Fonseca.
Davis was 2lbs over the 130lbs limit at Friday's weigh-in so the IBF have stripped him of the super-featherweight championship.
The fight will still go ahead on the Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor undercard on Saturday night, with the newly-vacant IBF title only available for Fonseca if he wins.
Davis, unbeaten in 18 fights, had been scarcely present throughout the week except to insist that he is ready to accept "the torch" from his promoter and mentor, Mayweather.
The 22-year-old also missed weight twice in his most recent fight, against Liam Walsh in London.
