Big boys back with a bang on Sky Sports

Eight men, seven fights, winner takes all and £25,000 - Prizefighter is back! The second series of Barry Hearn's revolutionary boxing tournament takes place on September 12 at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle - and is being screened live on Sky Sports. The format is the same, three three-minute rounds, with the winner progressing from the quarter-finals, through to the semis and then the final, where fame and fortune is waiting for the winner. This Prizefighter will again feature the heavyweights and has the backing of none other than Danny Williams, conqueror of Mike Tyson, world title challenger and current British champion. "It's great. You don't have to pace yourself, you just go out there and give everything," he said. "That's the reason Martin Rogan won it last time - he went in with the mentality that he was just going to go in there and give everything." Williams was on hand to make the draw, live on Sky Sports News, which featured the usual exciting blend of unbeaten hopefuls, familiar faces, and a couple of men who took part in the innaugural Prizefighter.
