Chisora misses out on chance to fight Williams

Heavyweight Derek Chisora will not fight on Amir Khan's world-title undercard after being banned for biting. The unbeaten Finchley man has been suspended by the British Board of Boxing Control for four months after the incident in his recent points win over Paul Butlin at the York Hall on May 22. Chisora, known as Del Boy, was also fined £2,500 by the Southern Area Council, but the biggest loss will be the chance to fight Danny Williams for the British title, live on Sky Box Office, when Khan takes on Andreas Kotelnik at the O2 Arena. The Council did not accept his explanation for the fifth-round incident and TV replays did little to back up his argument. He has 14 days to appeal against the decision. But Butlin, who ended up losing to Chisora for the second time, 79-72 on ref Dave Parris' call, believes the punishment fits the crime. "He butted me in our first fight and he should have been disqualified for that. But I couldn't believe it when he bit me," he told boxingnewsonline.net. "I knew he was winning anyway so why do it? I think he was frustrated not being able to stop me. "He's lost out on a big fight and a great opportunity on the Khan bill so I think that's punishment enough. "I really rate him as a boxer but it's down to him to keep his head."
