Ukrainian is raring to go says trainer

Trainer Fritz Sdunek insists Vitali Klitschko is in "top form" ahead of his WBC heavyweight title defence against unbeaten American Kevin Johnson. The Ukrainian three-time champion, who has a record of 38 wins and two losses with 37 knock-outs, will face Johnson in Switzerland on Saturday. Sdunek is adamant the 38-year-old, who reclaimed his belt in October 2008 following a four-year injury break, is "physically and mentally in top form" for the clash. "If Kevin Johnson does what he promises, at least the fight will go the full 12 rounds," said Sdunek.

Confident

Klitschko revealed at his pre-fight press conference in Bern that he is looking forward to defending his title. "This is even better than my last successful title defence against Cris Arreola in September," he said. The Ukrainian outclassed the previously undefeated Arreola in Los Angeles before the Mexican-American's corner stopped him coming out for the 11th round. Meanwhile, American challenger Johnson (22-0 with 1 draw, 9 KOs), who was awarded his title shot by beating Devin Vargas earlier this year, is confident he will defeat the world champion. "To all my fans back in the U.S, especially Atlanta and Asbury Park, pay attention," said Johnson. "Keep your eyes glued to the TV and watch me do what I do."
