The Newbery Thruxton IG are gloves that not only ooze quality, but have been specifically designed to absorb impact.
Broken bones, torn muscles and impact injuries are becoming an all-too frequent part of today's game, however Newbery have conjured up a protective gem to ensure you get through this season unscathed! Introducing to you the Newbery Thruxton IG, gloves that not only ooze quality, but ones that have been specifically designed to absorb impact and provide outstanding levels of protection. These gloves has been made from experience too, with Newbery Chief Executive Neil Lenham, a player with over 20 years of first-class experience at Sussex, a man who knows more than most about the pain of finger injuries! As you can see from the picture above, the comfort in no way compromises the look or shape of the glove. This is an extremely classy product and one all your team-mates will want to be 'borrowing' should you purchase them ahead of the new season.Impact Gel
So how does it work? Well, The IG stands for 'Impact Gel' and this technology has swiftly become the 'must have' ingredient for the next generation of protective gear. The gel is a shock-absorbing viscous liquid, one that is firm enough to maintain shape, but also fluid enough to follow the contours of your body and offer outstanding levels of protection. It works too, as I can vouch for after putting the gloves to the test, a test which featured me quite simply punching cricket balls fired down at me by the bowling machine! What most impressed me about the glove was how light, yet strong, they are. This benefited my feel of both bat and ball and made for a much more comfortable net session! Sweat is another distraction whilst at the crease, and while I often don't bat long enough to encounter this problem, it was noticeable during this session that the gloves absorbed moisture very well to prevent any issues whilst gripping the bat. Stylish, sleek and safe, the Newbery Thruxton IG certainly gets two (well-protected) thumbs up from skysports.com!Locker Room rating: 5/5
