IPL 2016: Karun Nair leads Delhi Daredevils to victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad

Delhi Daredevils kept their Indian Premier League play-off hopes alive with a six-wicket victory over table-toppers Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday.
Karun Nair's unbeaten 83 off 59 balls, which included eight fours and three sixes, guided the Daredevils home at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium.
But it could have been a different story if David Warner had not dropped Nair on 51, an opportunity the Hyderabad captain was left to rue come the end.
Hyderabad had set the Daredevils the target of 159 to win, with Warner the driving force behind that total, top scoring with 73 off 56 balls.
England ODI captain Eoin Morgan could only manage 14 off 10 balls, with his innings brought to a premature end when he was caught by Carlos Brathwaite.
The Daredevils suffered a poor start to their chase, losing the in-form Quinton de Kock (2) cheaply before the incoming Nair and opener Rishabh Pant put on 73 runs to put them firmly in control.
A silly mix up between Nair and Pant (32), resulted in the latter being run out, but his departure from the crease did not prevent the Daredevils from going on to secure victory.
Nair continued his fine batting form and posted his third half-century of the season, before Warner crucially dropped him off a delivery from left-arm pacer Barinder Sran.
It proved to be a decisive moment in the match with Nair remaining at the crease for the rest of the encounter, hitting two fours in a row to seal victory for the Daredevils.
